High Precision Motorized Stages with Mechanical Bearings and Direct-Drive Motors

The V-141 family of compact linear stages combines affordability and performance. Available in travel ranges of 40, 60, and 100mm, stages provide 0.06µm bidirectional repeatability and velocity up to 1.1m/sec. The 40mm variant has a footprint of only 80x80mm. 60mm and 40mm versions and 60x40mm XY stage shown. An optional counterbalance and brake for XYZ applications is also offered.

The V-571 ultra-high precision linear stage family features a body width of 95mm and is available in four travel ranges from 25mm to 100mm. Stages provide 0.1µm absolute calibrated position accuracy and both incremental and absolute encoders with 1nm resolution are available. An optional counterbalance and brake for XYZ applications is also offered.

The V-574 ultra-high precision linear stages  provide extremely good guiding precision to 1µm straightness/flatness and low pitch and yaw errors to 30µrad. They feature a body width of 130mm and are available with travel ranges of 60mm, 130mm, and 230mm. BiSS-C absolute encoders and two types of sine/cosine encoders are offered.

The V-827 wide-body linear stage family was designed for higher-load applications with travel ranges up to 1m.  Combining calibrated positioning accuracy of 0.25µm, bidirectional repeatability of 0.3µm, and maximum velocity of 2m/sec the V-827 is ideal for high precision automation and manufacturing.

The V-622, V-623, and V-625 high performance direct-drive rotation stage series is compatible with the new linear stages.  

PI USA has introduced several new families of motorized linear stages tailored for precision automation, motion control, and positioning applications. All product lines are powered by non-contact, 3-phase linear motors and are equipped with integrated direct-measuring linear encoders. Absolute measuring encoders are available for most of the new linear stage families. The stages are designed and manufactured at PI’s engineering and manufacturing facility in Hopkinton, MA.

V-141 - Economical and Compact Linear Stages

The V-141 linear stage family, developed by PI USA's engineering team, is the smallest and most economical among the new stages. Currently available with three travel ranges of 40mm, 60mm, and 100mm, it offers excellent straightness and flatness to 1.5µm and bidirectional repeatability of 60nm with a maximum velocity of 1100mm/sec. The 40mm variant boasts a compact footprint of only 80x80mm, making it ideal for space-constrained applications. XY and XYZ configurations with an integrated counterbalance on Z are also available.

V-571 – For Ultra-High Precision Nanopositioning and Alignment Applications in a Compact Package

The V-571 family of nanopositioning linear stages is specifically designed for applications requiring extreme accuracy and geometric performance. This nanopositioning stage excels with 0.5µm straightness and flatness per 50mm travel, along with pitch and yaw of 50µrad and 25µrad, respectively. When calibrated with an A-81x motion controller, the V-571 linear stages achieve guaranteed positioning accuracy of 100nm and bidirectional repeatability of +/-60nm.   Applications include sample inspection, precision micro- assembly, semiconductor inspection and metrology, photonics alignment, as well as mass-production of ultra-high precision components.

V-574 – For Ultra-High Precision Nanopositioning and Alignment Applications and Travel to 230mm

Like its smaller brother, the V-574  family of nanopositioning linear stages provides excellent accuracy and guiding precision. With a body width of 130mm it can carry larger objects.  Three travel ranges of 60, 130 and 230mm are offered as well as three encoder options.  Applications include sample inspection, precision micro- assembly, semiconductor inspection and metrology, photonics alignment, as well as mass-production of ultra-high precision components.

V-827 – Wide-Body Linear Stage for Heavy Loads

The V-827 family of wide-body linear stages is tailored for positioning and automation applications involving larger motion ranges, objects and loads.  With travel ranges up to 1m, the wide body design makes the stage ideal as base for multi-axis setups, offering higher stability and preventing deflection errors of a mounted Y-axis better than narrower base stages.  V-827 stages can carry loads up to 150kg and achieve a maximum velocity of 2m per second. Similar to the other motorized linear translation stages mentioned above, the V-827 provides maximum performance when used with our A-81x or A-82x series of EtherCat^®-based motion controllers.

V-62x Direct-Drive Rotation Stages

All of the above stages can be combined with the V-62x series of direct-drive rotary stages.
